Navratri in the Corporate Space

Nine Values to Celebrate at Work

Navratri is so much more than garba nights, dandiya sticks, and a riot of colours. It’s nine days of honouring strength, resilience, and community spirit. In Indian tradition, each day celebrates a different form of the Goddess — each with its own colour and value.

In the workplace, these values can be more than symbolic. They can guide the way we work, lead, and collaborate.

At Speshally, we see festivals as the perfect opportunity to bring people together, deepen cultural understanding, and make the workplace a little more joyful and inclusive.

Day 1 — Grey: Resilience

Goddess Shailputri — symbol of strength At work, resilience means bouncing back from setbacks, learning from mistakes, and holding your head high when things get tough.

Day 2 — Orange: Energy

Brahmacharini — dedication and vitality Energy is about showing up with enthusiasm, inspiring your team, and keeping the momentum going without burning out.

Day 3 — White: Clarity

Chandraghanta — peace and clarity Clarity in the workplace comes from transparent communication and clear roles — it keeps confusion away and builds trust.

Day 4 — Red: Passion

Kushmanda — source of cosmic energy Passion fuels creativity. It’s about recognising people’s strengths and giving them space to do work they truly care about.

Day 5 — Royal Blue: Determination

Skandamata — courage and willpower Determination turns challenges into opportunities. It’s not about quick wins it’s about persistence and grit.

Day 6 — Yellow: Optimism

Katyayani — hope and positivity Optimism helps teams collaborate and problem-solve, even under pressure.

Day 7 — Green: Growth

Kalaratri — transformation Growth happens when companies invest in learning, upskilling, and mentorship for their people.

Day 8 — Peacock Green: Harmony

Mahagauri — compassion and serenity Harmony comes from empathy truly listening to different perspectives and valuing every voice.

Day 9 — Purple: Ambition

Siddhidatri — fulfilment and success Ambition keeps progress alive. It’s about creating a workplace where people can set bold goals — and know they’ll be supported in achieving them.

Making Navratri Meaningful at Work

● Cultural Dress & Colour Days: Wear the colour of the day and share the value it represents during team catch-ups.

● Festival-Inspired Learning: Short huddles where leaders link each value to a workplace lesson.

● Inclusive Celebrations: Wheelchair-friendly dance floors, ISL interpreters for performances, and events where everyone can join in.

Final Thought

Navratri shows us that strength, compassion, and ambition can all exist together. If we carried these nine values throughout the year, workplaces could feel as united and vibrant as a festive garba night.

At Speshally, we help companies create celebrations that are inclusive, meaningful, and a true reflection of their culture — because festivals should unite, not exclude.
